Man Steve that sucks about the disability but everybody that I know that has applied for it, all but one had to do the manditory 3 tries before they got it (and about 2 yrs of time). Sometimes I think judges are just told to automaticly turn it down without even thinking about it the first 2 times as standard operating procedure. Just don't give up, that is what they want you to do. As for the pup (spawn of spot) sounds like a great deal you got there and I just love the name LOL. Same old thing here, cloudy, rain off and on and not much time on the work bench.......bummer.

Well Steve I'm glad if I coulda somehow made ya feel a LITTLE better. THAT'S wat freinds are for! Hopefully things WON'T take so long, and you'll get a more compasionate judge. Marcs right though, maybe they do got some sorta "unwritten"code ta NOT allow anyone to win on the first claim. They probably DO want ya ta get so fed up with the system that ya just give up!!! Hang in there Brother, I'll be here prayin for ya! Sounds like SOS(Spawn of Spot) might work out for ya, if she get's along with the kids, that's the main hurdle. Can't be havein NO dog whats not good with kids around! Kids can play HELL on a dogs personality, so if she plays good with them to begin with, that's an important sign. Fred the Wonderdog, is REAL good with kids, he has had Emmi around since he was 5, an now he's got Carter, and he let's Carter pull on his hair an he licks on him( I just don't think he's tastein him) So he shows the signs of gettin along with him. Fred is gonna be 11 this June, but he's just as frisky and active as a pup, so hopefully I can have him around for a long time. I honestly don't know if I could bring myself to put him down if the time came, as other than Therese, he IS my BEST freind!Dogs are family to me, I've had dogs in my home ALL my life. But Fred is the FIRST dog that was ALL MINE!! Growin up I shared at least 3 dogs with my sisters, then we had a Samoyed/Huskie mix that stayed with Theresa when I left for the Marines, then when Emerson died we got a Bouvier to replace him,and Brucie was stolen after about 8 years, we had a Old English Sheepdog, Howard that was hit by a car, then Timber, a American Eskimo, who was Joy's dog, Now we got the ol Fredster! The BEST one(other than Emerson) of the bunch! I Loved Emerson, cas he was me an Theresa's FIRST one together, an I LOVE Fred, simply caz he's MINE! A GREAT little dog. Fred's a White Westhighland Terrier, a GREAT dog with kids, and folks in general, plus he's just a dam HANSOME lookin lil guy! Sorry to carry on so, but I DO have a loyalty thing for my freinds, of which Fred certainly is!!! Hope yer feelin better, an remember, 281 days left!!!

Thanks guys. Actually, this was technically my 3rd attempt, sorta. Back around 2003 or 4,I went through an honest-to-goodness "too dang lazy to fart" spell for a whole month, applied, and went back to work a month later and forgot about it,LOL! But yeah, this was my 2nd real attempt (now that I do need it). I,too, think they automatically turn peeps down...Dad knew a guy that had went through the process for 2 years, then actually died due to his illness/injuries a month before his hearing with the judge, the judge denied him again because "If he's too lazy to bother to show up,he doesn't deserve it!" (Coincidently,I think Dad said that dude's wife and kids sued that judge, and WON buttloads). I call her the SPAWN OF SPOT,but her actual name from 2 weeks old is Blossum,LOL! She broke the ring off her collar sometime during the night (cheap Dollar General collar),so today I went and bought a collar that she won't break, drove back up the hill and drove her back,LOL! She seemed happy to be back,I guess she missed her "pack" last night. I hate having her pinned, but it's just till she knows this is her home now,and she's out of the rain's reach, with a heated dog house that her Pappy slept in. Seems to genuinely love the kids and I,Tina has yet to spend any time with her. Cool and rainy all night/day today, weather dude's calling for similar the next few days No benchtime today (up to this point in the day ),hopefully later

Glad ol Blossum DIN'T get lost! I had Fred inna kennel in the kitchen for the first YEAR he was here so he'd learn the ropes of the house! Timber was still around then, an he showed the Fredster the ropes. How to cratch at the door to go out, how to scratch to come back in, what time he ate breakfast an dinner, to go an dump OUTSIDE, how to act around folks, Tim was a GREAT dog, and we had him for 15 years, Without Tim, housebreakin Fredmo mighta been ALOT,No, WOULDA been alot harder! Timber Dog was 17 when he went home, he was a GREAT dog. I hope I have Fred at least as long. It's 45 out right now, it's sposed ta get to 67!!! and up to 70 by the weekend!!!! YESSS! it's comein!!! Only 280 days left till 2011!!!!!

Well it hit 70 here today and lots of sunshine and its suppose to be 75 tomorrow, 78 Thursday and 79 Friday and all with sun out!!! Guess I need to get the paint booth ready to get a bunch of painting done LOL. I have one dog here, Buddy. He is part beagle and really good with the kids. Funny thing is while I love dogs I was the only person in the house that was opposed to the idea (I lost that vote LOL) but I am the one he follows all the time. Most of the time if he wants to play its with me, if one of the kids take over for me he decides its time to quit and I am the first one that he will go to for attention. I think he knows I'm a sucker for dogs. Well I did get a little work done on the Vette, its almost done now!!!

I mysef am putzin with an Airfix 1/24th scale Brit De Havilland Mosquito Not a CAR but a REALLY fast model on it's own! Hope the rain don't bother your back Steve, I had a knee injury quite a few years ago, had surgery, and they put 4 stainless screws in my knee and in the winter when I was still workin, I'd be walkin across the parking lot at work, and if the wind was hawkin, it would send toothache like pain thru my KNEE! I'd hurry up to get onto the plant, but it would ache like hell till it got warmed up again. THAT was a drag! It's 38 out this moanin, an the sun is shinein BRIGHT. Ben Bailey, T.V.2 weatherhack is sayin we'll get up to 70 today! Went outside an did some yardwork yesterday, and MAN did it feel good! Fred the Wonderdog jus wanted to play, he would go in the garage an bring me his tennis ball, or his frisbee, an want me to throw them , so it was kinda hard to thatch the backyard, but he gave me the needed breaks. See? he was jus lookin after his ol dad, not wantin me ta get too tired! He's a good boy!!! Welp fellas, hope ya have a GREAT one, an jus think, only 279 days left! ;D

Marc,I was never "young dumb and full of...,I was always fresh outta! Nah,didn't fall asleep, got busy with Blossum (the Spawn of Spot) and fixing her a much better place to be pinned to,then Mama got home and was,um,ready ( ), t-h-e-n I went to sleep,LOL! Man-o-man,it hit a confirmed 89 degrees today (the thermomitor is out in the sun,but it got dang hot never-the-less) ;D . You know,a couple months back, the A/C belt broke and flew out from under the hood on the KIA,but I thought I had months to worry about it... Today was a grand ole day. I went down to Bluefield (WV-used to live there, about 1.5-2 hours from here) just to pick up a bike box (a box to ship my beloved singlespeed mtn bike,Redline Monocog, once I ebay it),visited with two good friends while there (coincidently, one owns the Trek/Gary Fisher/Cannondale/etc shop, the other the shop that specialized in singlespeeds and 29" wheelers),and stopped in the LHS on the way back. It seems I'd accidently overpaid a 2.5 month layaway by $12.50 (by paying over the phone with debit card),so I got to finally pick it up (and pick'd out another one for the $12.50 + a $5 dollar bill ;D),wound up with a new-to-me utility trailer with Pops buying it outright, going in halves and letting me pay my 1/2 in three low monthly payments (since we're officially back to "just scraping by" again,LOL).......I think he was tired of my borrowing his a couple times per month, then keeping it longer than he liked,LOL! Either way, really kool (and VERY surprizing) of him. So,Jamie's spending the night (maybe tomorrow night as well) at her bestest friend's,Nicholas is staying at my parent's till Saturday evening, just me and Mama in the house ....good thing I took her to the vet and had her fixed back in '07 ;D Yeah....a very long day,but a very blessed/enjoyed one as well ;D

Sounds like ya had a nice productive day even if ya didn't get ta work on a model(other than Mama) Yesterday I hit the 57 mark, an I got a BEAUTIFUL day,(Thank YOU God!) and 50 bucks from My Huney, AND my Baby, so, with my monthly allowance added in, I got 200 bucks to spend at our Bi yearly toy show at Macomd County Comm.Coll. that comes on the 25th of this month! The ONLY problem is HANGIN ON to it TILL THEN!!! Yeeesh,I wish it was SOONER!!! Like I said, yesterday was BEAUTIFUL! it got to 80 Degrees, an I think they said it broke a record for the Deeetroit area! Gonnae in the 80's today too, or so they're sayin! It's 56 out right now! AND SUNNY!!! Only 277 days ta go!!!

Yeah...hangin onto it is the hard part for me as well,LOL! Already mid-70's outside here today ;D. Yesterday broke the long-standing record for this area. My thermomitor said a high of 89 (it's digital and records the day's stats),and the news weather/medicine man said 87. Now today....I just don't feel like doing nuthin,LMAO! Not sick, sore or tired (no more sore/pain than usual,anyways)...just lazy I guess since I got that new trailer tho,I probly orta start throwing stuff on there to haul off Tuesday (the dump is closed weekends,Monday I'll be at the lawyer's way up in KY,soTuesday). I also wanna get on that '39 Chevy SD's drivetrain, and need yet to spray the wheels...maybe outline for paint a few more flames... ;D
