I started this one about a year ago. Basically it's stock, But , I'm planting another mill in it. The original motor looks hooky, (to me at least) and I'm planning on putting a 400 from the 68 Firebird in it. I also took the mags from my 70 Eldorado and put them on. With those 2 changes alone it's no longer a stock ride. The biggest problem with this build thus far has been the paint, this is the third paint job, the first 2 , I kept having matching problems and the hood and deck came up darker for some reason. Well paint job # 3 it all worked out well, and here's the result build so far. 1960 Pontiac Bonneville Trumpeter # 02502 I almost forgot , with the 400 meant a change from an automatic to a 4speed. I must admit that for the past couple of days I've been thinking about using a 421 SD from a 62 Catalina rather then the 400. Thanks for looking, Jerry

Looks great so far. What engine is in the box? I'd like to to see the 421 used, probibly its much better detailed than the 400.I've never done a gold paint job that turned out nice. Kevin

She is looking beautiful!!!! I love the color combo on the interior. The body came out great!! Those wheels are "Da Bomb"!! Way to go buddy. I think either the 421 with a tri-power, or a 389 with a tri-power?? I know it will be eye candy no matter which direction you go.

By popular vote this Poncho will be getting a 421 SD w/dual quads from a 62 Catalina . Thank you all for your help in this decision.

The 421 will be soooo sweet in it. It will be the perfect touch for this beautiful build.

Thought you might like to see the original kit motor for this car. Those holes on the sides of the block are for the exhaust manifolds. And here's the 421SD being test fitted on the chassis, (notice the new front pipe so that I can use a pair of headers). that's it for the moment. Thanks for looking, Jerry

The 421 will make her get down the road fairly quick!! the headers would have people wondering where the rumble was coming from...tee hee!! A great addition to a great build!!

OK, update time! I've added the trim on the drivers side, and opened up the grill. (tho it's hard to tell in this pic) The first pic with some trim done! It's getting close, can the end be near?!? As you can see the shop is really hopin!! NOTE: As I opened the grill, when I got down to the first layer of chrome, it was a layer of copper!!! First I've ever seen on a model! Thanks for looking, Jerry
