Here's one I have always wanted and I just got the decals so I thought I would restore it. Can you believe that the silver paint someone did 30+ years ago STILL hasn't dried!!! It's tacky to the touch!! Compared to the 66 Toronado I just did, this should be a snap!! -Louie

You have a great subject to restore!! I will be watching for the progress. This is the first time i have seen this kit. As for the silver, it would have been an oil base paint, and they never seem to dry. Remember when you first got the bottle of paint, it would have the brown looking stuff on top until you shook it?? That was the oil seperating from the color.

Man Virgil I forgot all about those old paints that seperated!! I think it also had something to do with the lead they used to use in them. things sure have changed!!

Some things changed for the better, some didnt....lol. I started out with the 1/4 oz bottles of pactra paint, then to polly S, and then testors. I had forgot about the lead content of the old stuff. It should strip fairly easy though. I will have to look for this kit, and see what it costs to get one.
