I am doing this for a primer rod build off on kustomz, and my forum. I will be using the "paddy wagon" but there will be some changes....tee hee. I am using a dodge 313 cubed hemi with 8 single bbl carbs, and 2 oval finned breathers. Stay tuned...... Virgil

Sounds like a cool project, are you going with the traditional grey primer or maybe black or red oxide?

With a lot of ideas from ripper, this will be a hearse. I scratchbuilt the coffin, i am making a cross to go on top of it now. I ovaled out the windows, the body will be flat black, the interior will be done in red, gold, and black. I am using the kit gold chrome, i am using a Dodge 331 Hemi, with 8, 1 bbl carbs. The motor chrome will be coated in tamiya clear red. Thank you, Virgil

A small update. I got the background laid out for the cross that will go on the coffin, and got the puttywork done to it. These pics were taken before the puttywork was done. I will get more updates in a couple of days. Thank you, Virgil

Some more updates on the "One Way Ride". This project was inspired by badroadaheads Java Express. It gave me ideas of what other build subjects could be done with the paddy wagon. Then with some ideas from ripper, this is where it is going........... I am keeping it a secret what i am doing with the roof...tee hee The engine block is dupli-color gloss black, the engine chrome pieces are now coated in tamiya clear red for the anodized look. I will get them photoed in a day or so. On the interior panels, the pieces i cut out for the ovaled windows, i used to fill in the top part of the original window, so it looks right. Here is a small mock-up to give you an idea what it will look like. Thank you, Virgil

I can't wait to see how the gold chrome parts turned out with the clear red on them. Looks like you are moving right along with this one Virgil.

I had a change of plans on the clear red over the gold. But i did put it over the chrome of the engine parts.... ;D ;D Its coming along...... ;D ;D This is what the curtains look like after making them. They will be covered in flocking to represent velour material. Started assembly on the engine. Painted the letters gold on the valve covers. More to follow soon......hehehehehehehehe!!!!! Virgil

Thank you. I used .040 styrene sheet, cut out my design, clamped it to my desk, and used my dremel with a tiny round cutter head to cut the lines. I have my dremel hooked up to a voltage regulator to slow it down to the speed i needed to make the cuts without slipping.....thanks MJ for the regulator idea...lol. I am covering them in flocking to represent velour curtains. The lines are all free hand cut, no templates, you want them to be irregular to represent being pulled back and tied. If you have anymore questions about them, just ask.... ;D.

Im wasnt happy with the steel wire wheels, so here is what i happily decided on. And to stay old school, i am using a set of 4 drums from the 65 Buick Riviera kit. I am part of a 4 month build off that ends april 1st, so i have to put this build behind the barn for now, and finish the other one. Never fear, once i get the other one done, i WILL be back on this one. It is my baby....lol. Thank you, Virgil
