One of my first Restorations that I had done was the Wild Dream by Joe Wilhelm. This car came in the double kit with the King T. Bought waaay back when it was issued, bounced about for way too many years in the parts boxes, and several nasty paint jobs. I had come across the body and wondered how much of the car was left, found the frame (bare), and the interior. searched some more found more, but still not complete. did find the engine chrome sides radiator, etc., but was still looking for a few odd parts , harassed all my friends to search through there stashes(was no internet then)and finally it was complete . Built and painted as it is here: The Paint is airbrushed Lavender pearl nail polish. Thanks for looking, Jerry

That is a wicked little car. I bet it would fly down the road. I am glad you found all of the parts to put it together.

Been wanting to find a decent rebuilder of that one. I wrote this about the origins of Joe Wilhelm's Wild Dream in this article. I built a model that was published in the Mar '62 issue of Car Craft as a follow up to their April '60 Dream Rod article. www.modelcarscience.com/dreamrod.htmlbob sifferd
