Changes in habits & hobbies

I have been around this site for a while, but I very seldom post. Part of that is lazy, but a big part is that for the last year my attitude towards building has been changing. I have been building models for 50 years, (yes 50). I have gone thru my normal periods of burn out and slumps.

Now, I have finally realized that I no longer enjoy building models, but I still love models. I bought a few built and a few die-casts. On each one of them I have added detail or extra personal touches. That is fun! So I am now a collector....that has been hard to admit. PLEASE I don't want to start a thread war between collectors and builders!!!!!

It is hard to change, but I have found a way to keep my hobby interesting and still enjoy it. Looking at your photos is inspiring and enjoyable.

Too make a short story longer...I hope y'all enjoy whatever part of our hobby makes you happy!!!!!!!!!

There is nothing wrong with that Robert. I'm sure we all have a few jems in our stash that after buying we just couldn't bring ourselves to build due to the value of it. You just do what you want to do to keep yourself busy with a hobby you love!!

AMEN Marc!!! I have a few i dont want to destroy the value of, but not to build them is another issue. I will get to all of them eventually....lol.
