Ooooooo.....owwwwwww......ughhhhhhhh.......rode the Virginia Creeper Trail today. ALL of the Virginia Creeper, all 68.12 miles of it,from Damascus to Whitetop it gains almost 2000 feet (fun coming back down,however)...that's not steep, but try holding 10MPH+ minimum speed with NO places to coast... OK,nuff whining. Missin you guys, but now you know what I been up to. Got in 138 miles this calander week-my longest mileage week since, hell,IDK when. NOTHING whatsoever going on with plastic round here, fellers, cept'n the missin of the chats with the model buildin buddies. MJ,Keep healing up,my friend,George...uh,keep being the koolness that is George ;D PS: Did I mention my legs are killing me??? But at least, after coming to the rescue of a damsel in distress (fixed her flat),had good conversation for the last 32 miles (she's a 46 year old college English professor,so the conversation was great...and she weren't hard on the eyes neither ...so me being 39 next month, that make her a cougar? No hanky panky though, not even a flirt, though we may ride together again-she's a nice lady, and Tina n me be still workin hard on Tina n me ,and if ever a flirt or desire to hits,no mo ridin wit her ;D )

Nice,CLEAN Cali ride!!! Be cool with those T-Tops, the car looses alotta strength by cuttin the roof off. That little bit of steel that holds the glass in place is NOWHERE NEAR stron enough to keep the body from flexin if you built that motor up! I had a 79 Trans Am that I ended up selling because of it! 400 cubes an a Auto, but it was STILL enough to make the body squeek like a dam mouse whe I jumped on it, or drove the poop outta it on windey, twisty roads. Traded it in onna 82 Z-28 WITHOUT T-Tops! Matt's gonna find ALOTTA nice clean cars out in La-La land!

NICE Bird,MJ!!! Shame it hain't a 350 TPI,but he'd lose the 5 speed if'nit were,so no worries there,PLUS he should turn in 20+ MPG's depending on how heavy the foot is ;D Sorry I been leavng y'all hangin (you too George my good friend) lately, been biking so much hain't had energy or desire to sit n build much anyways...and now I hain't even driving as much...so far this month I'm near 300miles pedaled, under 120 miles drove'd-the driven miles were 1 trip to the old house (too d**n far to ride unless bike-touring),and to haul more groceries than would fit in the panniers hung on the CX bike (cyclocrosser...think road bike, drop bars, but sinny little knobbie tires, kinda like a dual sport dirt bike),but now I doubt I'll be driving for ANY shopping...finally build myself up a cargo SUB (Sport Utility Bicycle) ou of that old TREK I've had since new in 2000... For example, yesterday,Nick and I roe to Kmart and picked up him a sleeping bag (for upcoming bike-camping),a pair of camp pillows, and EIGHT gallons of water for the month

I likes youse too,George (and MJ too ) I've been around...just not in the model building around...mostly bike forums,LOL! Seasonal ebbs and flows,I guess That big railtrail mini-tour/bike camping the Boy and me's been looking forward to is coming closer,s'kool lets out for Summer (cue Alice Cooper singing in the background,LOL..."School's out...for...Summer...") Thursday, and we've procured most of the gear we'll be needing. Here's the biggies... Everything bought at Xmarts (between Kmart and the dreaded Wallymart),and bought cheap. Ain't none of it overly heavy, but cheap don't pack none-to-small,LOL! Never-the-less,it was swallowed up in one side bag and a bit on top. Alls that's left is nic-nacks (flashlight wasn't in there, for example, clothes, etc),and we's is gunna be packing fishing gear as well as the obligatory Bible (I may not live perfectly...but I studies it daily, hain't missed a day this year, and well into last year too ). Rode it around the hood for a test ride with all of it-no surprises here, but it rode very well (I know'd it would...I've hauled as much as eight 12 packs of Coca Cola since that last post...heavier than them gallons of water,IMHO,and this stuffs is WAY lighter than that was)...plus I got the curious blank stares of lotsa soccer mums, teeheehee

Thanks,MJ-yeah I had a good time of it...got in just under 70 miles in sub-24 hours on a 70lb-ish bike, had a good campout just past a legit campsite (which as full-it was legal to do so where I did).
George, nah, nuthin built in ferever. Well...I had started a fenderless slammed '37 Ford pickup (based off one I seen in Ol Skool Rodz mag) exactly 2 months ago today....but I run'd into a issue (cain't remember what it wuzto save my life though,LMBO)...I don't think I'd have no time toFINISH anythin gthat's NIB,not even a box stocker (cause I can rarely leave it b.s.,LMBO!),but mebbe I orta finish that Bullitt that's sittin there 95% ;D
