Been trying to get my projects (new for 2010) Started ahead of the game.............. This one i will be doing as a 1987 this way i dont have to worrie to much about the front bumper (the turn signals can stay) BUT i will be adding a tub grill...... Found a snap kit of the 78 Chevy Blazer was already built and just needed the back halve....... i cut the 1/4 panels and tailgate away first, then went in and looked things over and cut the topper off, it had to be shortened and chopped......( I did this by cutting it at the molded lines on the topper sides, this way it drops it down to the right height.......) <my cut for the passenger side 1/4 panel and door lines was alittle off ( It happens!!) so i will be fixing that later on also............ OH one last thing, one thing i noticed on the snap kit was the roof wrap around between door edge and topper lines they didnt include any, so i made sure i had on the cab i was mounting everything too...........(My 1:1 has a grab handle there incase anyone didnt notice that little piece of a wrap around) I will need to go in and make a sill plate around the top edges of the 1/4 panels (both sides) because the topper will be removeable but i wanna also add some pins to make it stationary also.... Last pic i took from my other blazer build
