I have been working on this car on and off for a couple of years. Its the most ambitious build Ive tried in a long time. I love Pro Mods.and watch them on tv every chance I get. I have never seen one in person though. Nobody has ever really come out with a true pro mod kit soooooo here we go.
I started with a resin cast body I got on ebay a few years back, not a great quality piece either. I then heavily modified a camaro pro stock chassis, scratch built the dash, alluminum bezels ,aftermarket guages, detail master seatbelt harnesses and a few other bits and pieces to get it to look right.
The color is Pavo purple by HOK and the flames are pactra rc car paint with dupilcolor clear, all being airbrushed. The Medusa decal I had made for me. The chassis and engine are painted with several colors of Testors metalizers. The block is from a funny car kit that I grafted a lennco tranny to. The windows are scratchbuilt and were the hardest parts for me to make. The blower hat is resin cast and the pulleys are arrowhead industries. I still have a little more detail work to do but at this point Im calling it DONE!
