Here are some things on my restoration bench. I have another partial daytona transporter kit to combine with the one shown. Hopefully I can get one decent completed version from the two. The other dragsters are in bad shape but I am going to try and restore the t'ranchula on the right.

That Transporter was pictured on a more "Known" forum not too long ago Mr. Ford. Would you be willing to fill some of us in on the history of that kit as I think M P C did it around 1973-5? I'm curious as I quit model build ing for the most part as I was too busy building 1-1 vans from the ground up as In I built a copy of the G M C L'Universale from the 1956 Motorama only to find that I couldn't find a suitable Transaxle . I then took a chain saw to it , oh well That was the Texas Chainsaw III as I was in Houston in those days too.Ed Shaver

MPC originally did the first version of the Transporter kit in 69 0r 70. I first built it in 1970. I built the first kit which had a Ramcharger's top fuel F/E dragster with it. The reissue, which was done a few years later was minus the dragster and had the clear bed cover shown in the photo. The Ramcharger's rail also was issued as a solo kit by MPC.
