I am building a model to replicate the art work drawn by Jairus Watson. first mock up. the stance is NOT set. the front will be a little lower,, but i am trying to make sure the same amount of sidewall shows on he rear so it's gonna have a slight rake. the front tires have straightline tread and small pie crust markings like the art work, but the sidewall is not exact. the rims are near perfect match other than the trim rings and the rears need to be a little deeper. there is going to be a lot of modifying to make this car. that my friends is what will make this so interesting! don't remember what kit i pulled the rims from, the front tires are vintage from the parts box and the rear tires are from Hendrix Resin. Hosted on FotkiI am using this kit and many parts and some aftermarket parts along the way as well as scratch building etc... Hosted on FotkiI hope to have results that look like this ....

just showing you how much sanding is taking place. this body is severely covered in mold lines and flash. pretty much every part of the body will get cleaned up. looks rough now, but by the time i get all of it cleaned up, i will be wet sanding it back to near polish. removed emblems front and rear. done for tonight.. the holes for tail lights were mis-aligned and so i had to erase those mold lines and reshape inside the holes so they were nice and round. Hosted on Fotkiluckily the head light rings are seperate, so i got to clean this up without messing those up in the process. NOTE: top of fenders, sharp mold lines. Hosted on Fotki

ok, when i shaved the emblem off the front i lost the rib in the center. i have put a peice of styrene (who knows what size) reall thin, thinner than paper and just enough to build on in place. right now there is putty over it and i will sand it back to shape. in Jairus' drawing there are two small holes where the emblem would have clipped, so i will drill those too.
