One of the coolest full size Ford's from the late 60s that AMT produced. I believe this kit was only issue one time in 1967. I guess the kit was modified in some way to make the '68 model in the next year. If this is not true, i sure hope the new owners of AMT/MPC will bring this back! George Barris customized this kit as shown on the side of the box his version in art work. I have not built this kit yet, but apon inspection i can give you a good idea of what to expect. This kit was sealed when i received it so nothing was missing. Box top Having had a few built up versions in the past, i can tell you there are no fit issues visible. You can view the instructions, decals and more box art here... public.fotki.com/drasticplasticsmcc/instruction_sheetsh/instruction_sheets/amt/amt_1967_ford_galaxie_xl/If you would like to see my (then) 6 year old daughter open this kit and all photos of contents, you can visit this link.. public.fotki.com/drasticplasticsmcc/1/2/current-projects/fomoco/1967_ford_galaxie/PROS: can be built stock, drag, custom and even old nascar. comes with firestone pinner white walls with redline pinners on the other side. with options to build pretty much 4 ways, there is a lot left over for other builds. CONS: cost in new untouched condition is around $200-$250 on eBay. for a built up version missing parts and in need of restoration can still cost $75. being rare, you don't have the luxury of messing up and buying a new one right away. the front tires for the drag version are two peice white plastic , lacking realism.

I guess I was lucky when I scored this box art replica.. I've picked up the interior seats and steering wheel. I'm hoping I can get the race insturnents off the dash, time will tell. Wonder what the reason for casting the roll cage in clear??
