this is not exactly a restoration at all.....i started with an unbuilt kit, call me a cheater ;D

down to the finish it was getting to be a PIA. the windsheild didn't want to go up all the way because it's a tad too wide, the radiator support didn't fit but i made it fit, the interior tub doesn't have a tranny hump, so i MADE it work lol. being this is an old kit, the chrome has some fading and there are some minor scratches in the windows i could not buff out.
overall.....i am happy with it, it felt good to finally pull this down and BUILD it! i hope you like....

thats awesome, what more is there to say!!! do you use 2pak clear??? flawless finish and a gorgeous colour...

thank you! i used Dupli Color clear from a can, Kandy Organic Green by Black Gold over the top of Silver Metallic by Dupli Color. clear is wet sanded from 2,400 to 12,000 grits and looks almost as good before i polished with KIT Carnauba wax. Mj introduced me to KIT a few years ago and i am still using it, it's the best shine i have ever gotten from wax.

This is sweet, I have one that was missing the hood, bought 2 others before getting one that was wrecked enough to salvage the hood for the first. Now you've given me some inspiration to get on it. This is one sweet Desoto, love the paint work.

I also have one started in red candy, using the -65 Riv wheels with Wide whites....but now I don´t know ? I might be accused for stealing :-)
