Started this, don't realy care for the hood scoop, but cut the hood years ago so it stays.Might 2 tone it black on top, silver from belt line down??.I'll keep the 427 stomper.Maybe some moderen lo-pro wheels /tires

Virgil,I played with the scoop and came to the conclusion that with forced air through the grill that this kit has, that a rear scoop might be more functional to let hot air , and under hood pressure out of the engine compartment,it is a big 427 after all.Maybe it will work like a cowl induction scoop set up and suck more air into the engine compartment??It's not glued yet,but like I said, not my first choice now

Looks like you got your hands full with that one... I think the hood reversed is a good idea in that it would function to let the hot air out...

I agree that reversed would be correct , I always like the looks of the teardrop hoods on these big old Fords .

You hang in there. I just ordered a Tear drop hood for my 65. Is the back end of yours open?

Well,I have it primed, have to pick a paint.Last night I came across a cammer engine from a 33 willys and started playing around to see if I can get it looking like a "street" engine.Ford built a few for nascar, but nascar said no way.Re thinking the rolling stock, probably gonna use some nascar rims?,but you can't beat craigars on these thing ether.I'll see what I come up with for paint to decide what to do about rubber.
