Convert.s aren't my favorites, but I seem to be doing a lot of them this year. This is the Revellogram 1998 Corvette Roadster. I have built a stock one in red, so I wanted this one to be a little different. As I was looking at this kit, I realized it had a trunk. HMMMMM The original 1953 Corvette was a conv. with a trunk. An Idea forms. How about a "Heritage Edition Corvette?" I'll paint it white, with a red interior, black top and add chrome like an older Corvette. So I ended up with my version. The interior is a semi-flat with some black wash to give it a shiny leather finish. Yes, the engine is blue, as you may recall the 1953 Corvette had a Blue flame 6. Just another tribute to the original. The car is finished, except for a final coat of wax. I think my photos come out a little better without the shine from the wax. I hope you like it.

Very nice Rob! I have a question. They coolent tanks are black on the 1/1,(I made the same mistake on mine) Did you do this as part of the tribute idea?

I have to admit it was a mistake. I had some internet photos and just overlooked the tank color. Now that I have gone back and looked, I decided we didn't make a mistake, we got it right...GM should have done it our way! ;D
