'32 Ford 3 Window Coupe

I know,I know...I already have a 5 Window sitting on the sidelines...It's stalled,despite the generosity of a fellow modeler donating a fresh body...the Revell kits have been keeping me up at night at gun point demanding to be built

So,here's the first:

I'm thinking of a traditional (pre-'69) fenderless with Suede paint,big block Pontiac power (moderately detailled) running steelies inside wide-whites,possibly mildly channeled and a slammed stance.

Yesterday I got most of the chassis/suspension mods for that "in the weeds stance". The rear isn't prototypically accurate,but you'll be hard pressed to see it when finished:




A kinda of Z/Step-hybrid notch:



Hopefully I can sit back down with it today,finish up the front with a little smoothing/shaping,and dig out that 421SD,and...

OK,so I decided on the 421 SD from the Catalina,and my first attempt at scratchbuiling headers,so I got it's basic assembly together and modded/drilled the exhaust port area (and here's what the headers will come from)...


Then I got to looking at the kit's box-art,and really didn't like the looks of the gas tank hanging off the rear like that,so I lopped it and a lil rear frame off (woulda needed to do that should I decide to channel it anyways). And I still didn't like the looks of the front blocks/notch,so I took it apart for the 3rd-4th time,and made a better looking set using the lil bit of rear frame I had cut...


I'll probly spend the rest of what time I get on it this weekend on these areas and building the headers. More to come...

Hey, your making some good headway. This top is looking soooo much better. That engine is going to be badarse in that. The redo of the front looks better also. Are you going to cut open the trunk and put a fuel cell in it?? If so, there is a guy on ebay that sells them molded in color resin. I have one, and they are nicely detailed. Keepup the great prgress, i will be looking for it.

I got a fuel cell, and a couple of accel coils for $5-$6 shipped.
