Posted elsewhere here also (in a question thread, the freebie I got with a botched chop attempt)... I'm thinking a traditional rod with a little rat in it for this one, with steelies or stock spokers, either wrapped in skinny ,wide whites, and either the stock Flattie with a few speed parts (or the hopped up mill from AMT's '49 Merc),or the big block from AMT's '53 Flipnose F100. Either rusty/brown primer,orflat/suede black with "Old Ford Blue accents. Anyhow, finally did a little work on it tonight. I wanted to do more, but when I moved my bench from room-room recently,I seem to have lost my putty,so I'll pick some up tomorrow (will have to be Auto putty,no hobby shops open, and won't be close to one again for a while. I Zap-A-Gapped it on using the center posts,as it lined up the closest to right that way,and cut a filler panel (out of a smashed '69 Charger body no less),then filed it to fit,and Zap-A-Gapped it in. Not perfect, but with a little putty and a lot of shaping,it'll do. And I made sure I got it level height-wise from side to side... But it's obvious there'll be more filling required, since this left gaps on the left side. The only problem is,while this gets 3 posts pretty close,it leaves the right in a bad way... Any suggestions for that post? And can anyone share the technique for cutting or replacing the glass when I get that far? Thanks, and thanks for looking, more to come...

Looks lile you need to add some length -- wish I had take pic of how I did that on mine -- here is a picture of when I made the fit back to the body and primed.... Argh!!! Looks like this is just a cursed kit, doomed to fight me every step Went to do some spray today, had 2 identical cans of paint, cept one is 2 days old,one several years old and is apparently gone bad. I'll give you two guesses which can I picked up (but only 1 counts,LOL). Wasn't noticable till I was finished shooting, and I may get lucky-it might not have etched the plastic too bad. What with the anxiousness I'm feeling for some Revell '32 Fords (picked up 2 new ones this week, and have all 5 unbuilt now!),and that this one just hit the frustrated button for the umpteenth time,I'm lowering it's spot on the totum pole. Not reboxing, but side burner bound.

I feel your pain man. I have several kits with that problem, only mine end up back in the box for a few years, until i get it figured out and finish it....lol. Dont despair, it will come out in the end, and you can say you kicked it in the plastic butt....lol.

Yeah, but look at it this way. You get more experienced and (hopefully) better with each new build. When you take this one out again, you might be able to knock it off in no time. Park it and go on to something else. Look at it again some day down the road. Gary
