I restored this one a couple of years ago. It started as a built-up, which was not in terrible shape. The hood was glued on, but it was not glued too tight, so I was able to get it apart. I went through my parts box, and found a resin hood. I was originally going to convert a "new tool 66" into a '67 when I found this one. I modified the body by adding the charachter line on the side, which AMT left off on the original tool. I painted it with Testor's Light Blue Metallic Lacquer, which is a very close match to Ford'67 Brittany Blue Metallic. I used the GT stripes from the AMT '66, and a set of "GT" emblems from Keith Marks' "67 Fairlane decal set. The wheels are from the Modelhaus, and the tires are good old AMT Firestone Supremes with red lines from an old AMT annual. I used a steering wheel from a AMT '67 Mustang, and I had the front and rear seats were resin cast from an unbuilt kit I had in my stash. I detailed the two-tone Blue interior from several photos I took of a car at Fords at Carlisle a few years ago. This was a very satisfying build.
