This is my latest car. 1974 AMC Gremlin. In 1 of these pictures I am using my daughter Firefighter Mustang Model engine. in the rest is the 258 straight 6, that belongs in it.This next picture is my work area.

i like one thing in particular about your work space. the outlet mounted on the bench! that's a good idea, i am gonna copy that one! ;D

Bad news...... The Yellow paint I put on the Gremlin went the wrong way. I don't know how, but it never fully dried. I will be soaking it in a tub of Westley's Bleach White. It should be ready for priming again in about 4 days.

Grumpy, That's looking great!!! Thanks for posting about Westley's Bleche White.I have a question though.Do you think that would strip paint (lots of coats) on a replica diecast 1:25 truck? If so,I have one to strip eventually. It is more of a long term goal project.I know it's not the same as an assembly model, but if I can do what I want with it ,it will eventually be a family heirloom.I will try to post pix of the diecast soon. If that stuff won't do it,what will strip paint?(without eating skin,AND it being biodegradable). Todd ;D

i love it but where in the world did you find a gremlin that looks that good i could find only one and i mean i looked everywhere, i went to my local hobby store after hours and hours and hours looking on line at the millions of websites and he could only get the same one that i found and it was the Gremlin Grabber, when i got the kit i rushed home it was my only day off that week had all my honey does finished and the rest of the day to work on the model that i had been looking for for 6 months, got it home and opened it and was so diiapointed when i relized it was the kind of model kit where you can't build the engine, you know the type where the top of the engine snaps to the hood and the bottom is connected to the chassis, well i made the body totally different from the box which is something i usually do whith all my builds except when the box picture was what i was going to do in the first place, well anywho the car your building looks great, and when i can can figure out how to post pics i will post my gremlin and hopefully you will see it and please let me know how or what you think

It takes a little longer, but it does work If the Model has been painted with automotive paint the paint comes off a bit different. Instead of turning to mush it comes off in sheets. Thanks for the question.

I have that car also. I was not happy when I opened the box either. If you want I will try and find another Gremlin like mine if you want. Thanks for the props & sorry it took so long to get back to yall. My computer had to be wiped and started all new. The only reason I am on here now is because on the MOM email that was sent to me. I'll be around..
